PREPARING FOR YOUR TRIP
RESERVATIONS
The reservations for this tour can be made through our web page (the most recommended), or in person at our offices in Cusco
HOW TO GET TO CUSCO?
There are 2 alternatives, being these a terrestrial route, which is not very used due to the time that this one implies from any destination, nevertheless, the great variety of companies that give service of interprovincial transport allows to have an ample range of services.
The alternative more recommended by the time and comfort continues being the aerial route, existing different companies that cover the different routes from access to the city.
WHERE TO STAY IN CUSCO?
As Cusco is a cosmopolitan city with a great number of tourists, the offer of accommodation is increasing every year, offering various alternatives mainly in the surroundings of the historical center making it easier for tourists to get around.
WHAT KIND OF ELECTRIC PLUGS ARE USED IN PERU?
Most hotels and even houses in Peru now have the standard output of the U.S. and also the output of South America.
However, it should be noted that Peru uses 220V outlets, it should also be remembered that during the tour there will be no point of access to electrical fluid, so you should take all precautions for the tour.
DURING YOUR TRIP
What KIND OF FOOTWEAR SHOULD I USE?
The most recommended is to use appropriate footwear for hiking or trekking shoes since the route is somewhat rough, so this type of footwear would be the most appropriate. However, in case you do not have this type of footwear, you could use shoes that are comfortable and have a hard sole.
SHOULD I USE WALKING STICKS?
Although the canes are not mandatory, they are a great help when walking since due to the conditions of the route and the height the effort required is very considerable so the canes will be of almost invaluable help in this tour.
WHERE DO I KEEP MY LUGGAGE?
The luggage can stay at your lodging without any problem since the tour generally only lasts one day, however, in case you have to make a connection to Machupicchu, you should take with you what you need for this tour, whether you have to spend a night in Machupicchu town or in another town in the Sacred Valley.
In the very special case that your lodging does not have a guardianship service or you do not trust it, you can contact us to organize the storage of your luggage.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN TERMS OF WEATHER?
Weather is a very complicated issue when predicting weather conditions since it can vary widely from one hour to the next and go from sunny or cloudy to very rainy from one location to another and vice versa so it is almost impossible to answer this question.
Even so, Cusco is characterized by two very distinct seasons, the dry season (from April to September) and the rainy season (from October to February)
The temperatures usually vary from 0°C in the coldest dry seasons and from 8 or 10°C in the rainy season. Making Cusco a fairly frigid city most of the year with a dry climate is easily refuted with garments that keep the heat in.
